The Expanded Guide begins with a condensed & re-edited version of Spengler's Guide, written several years prior. This contains broad knowledge of the 23 monster types at the time, and largely features the information covered in Ryslig's bestiary.
The new content in the Guide consists entirely of individual monster testomonials.
Submissions to the Guide can be made by anyone at any time, in a drop-off box at the Insert Coin arcade. The form below can be used as a template for any monsters looking for inspiration or structure for their entries. Nanami copies out the entries longhand, and stores the information in several locations, so that the information is never lost.
A copy of the current manuscript may be requested for casual perusal at any time.

What do you dislike about being this monster?
I don’t have soft paws. It’s always weird changing back from monsters that do.
What is something unique to you about being this monster?
No horns! Ear for music. Humans get... entranced. Still trying to turn that off.
What types of creatures or beings influenced your monster form?
Just a pig, mostly. But with the feet that hippos have, not hooves.
What is it like to feed as this monster?
I eat meat. Pigs also eat anything they find that’s food to them, but I don’t do that in the city.
What are some notable physical features you have as this monster, and what do you like or dislike about them?
My snout is strong for digging!
And my fur looks mostly the same, but it’s rough and scratchy to everyone. I miss when it was soft because everyone wants to pet soft things.
What are some notable psychological changes you have as this monster, and what do you like or dislike about them?
Nose for truffles. Why do pigs like them so much? They’re gross. At least humans want them for money?
People mention how minotaurs are easy to get mad, but most of the time I can tell myself lots of good reasons to not be mad. Especially when… sometimes I worry… if I’ll make things worse even for good reasons.

Strong pig is what I am right now.

What do you dislike about being this monster?
hooves is kinda funky to get used to you kinda go slippin all over shit or rollin yer ankle weak stupid knobbly ankles

huh not sure but i got super shaggy fur all over or hair or whatever it is cows get

some sort of shaggy as cow!! josh says it looked like a highlander i dunno what that is
What is it like to feed as this monster?
i mean it was meat not too different easier than bones cause you dont gotta rip them out
What are some notable physical features you have as this monster, and what do you like or dislike about them?
hooves uh a thin tail horns! big thick fingernails.
the tail i was used to so it didn't matter but the hooves was new cause before i jus shapeshifted them and it aint quite the same cause the shapeshiftin magic took care of shit like balance but when you get them on your own you kinda gotta figure things out plus they slip on tile really well. the horns got snagged on stuff. a lot. and the fingernails actually scratched a lot.

uh huh i dunno i dont think i really no wait i wanted to moo a lot an i really loved listening to the music! those were okay the music thing was super nice

maybe? it aint so bad plus i felt like me the most!
